Job Title : Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW)
Location : Iowa City, Iowa
Salary Range : $72,000 - $85,000 (based on experience)
Benefits : 15 days PTO, 10 paid holidays, and comprehensive benefits package
Overview :
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) to join our diverse outpatient mental health team in Iowa. The LISW will provide clinical services to individuals, families, and groups, specializing in mental health and emotional support. This role involves conducting assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and implementing evidence-based therapeutic interventions. The ideal candidate will be skilled in trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, and demonstrate a commitment to supporting clients’ mental and emotional well-being.
Responsibilities :
Client Assessment and Evaluation :
Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate client needs, challenges, and strengths. Use clinical judgment to diagnose and identify appropriate therapeutic approaches.
Treatment Planning and Implementation :
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings. Utilize evidence-based therapeutic approaches, such as CBT, DBT, or trauma-focused therapy, tailored to each client’s unique circumstances.
Therapeutic Interventions :
Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions. Offer crisis intervention as needed and work with clients to establish goals and monitor progress.
Case Management :
Coordinate with healthcare providers, community resources, and family members to ensure integrated and comprehensive care. Facilitate referrals and follow-up services as required.
Documentation and Compliance :
Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential client records in compliance with HIPAA and organizational standards. Document assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and any other pertinent information.
Qualifications : Education :
Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
Licensure :
Active LISW licensure in the State of Iowa.
Experience :
Minimum of 2 years of post-graduate experience in clinical social work, preferably with a focus on mental health, substance abuse, or trauma. Familiarity with diverse client populations is a plus.
