What we want you to do :
Job Duties
- Manage inventory, including placing orders with vendors to ensure the market is well-stocked
- Oversee market-day operations such as delivery management, stocking, cleaning, signage, and volunteer support
- Manage checkout process with market participants, ensuring accurate transaction processing and record-keeping while providing excellent customer service to market families
- Coordinate with the health and wellness and kitchen teams for necessary supplies
- Identify and address gaps in food and supply offerings, ensuring a broad selection
- Recruit, schedule, and orient volunteers to support market operations
- Work closely with the marketing team to promote market events and offerings
- Partner with other departments to address market issues and implement solutions
- Maintain compliance with grant provisions, partner requirements, and food safety best practices
- Support the Manager in managing the budget and preparing reports for stakeholders
- Monitor and implement program goals and ensure all documentation is up to date
- Perform general facilities and housekeeping tasks such as sweeping, mopping, breaking down boxes, and taking out recycling to maintain a safe and clean environment
- Pick up food and supplies using the company van from local food bank partners, such as Food Bank of the Rockies, and ensure safe transport and unloading
- Role requires frequent heavy lifting and being on your feet most of the day
What you must have :
Education : High School Diploma or GEDExperience : 3 years of experience in public health, food systems, or food security prefe rred , and a minimum of 1 year customer service experience required .Skills :Strong Communication skills in both verbal and written capacityStrong customer service skillsKnowledge of food security issues and their community health impactProficiency in Microsoft Office suite productsAbility to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularl yBa c kground Check : Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check, including CBI / FBI fingerprinting .
