Shift / Hours : Monday to Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM, with some on-call rotation
Job Summary
As a Mobile Technician, you'll deliver preventive maintenance and corrective repairs across healthcare facilities in Humboldt County. This hands-on role emphasizes independent work, traveling between locations to ensure optimal operation of building systems, HVAC, and general facility maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and repair mechanical, industrial, structural, plumbing, life safety, and control systems.
Review work orders, estimate materials / time, and track inventory of supplies / tools.
Implement preventive maintenance for building machinery and systems.
Inspect building systems (e.g., HVAC, plumbing, fire alarms) to ensure design performance.
Ensure compliance with safety and building operation regulations.
Operate company-issued vehicles daily.
Apply deep knowledge to resolve complex issues and lead by example within the team.
Coach team members and promote best practices aligned with company values.
Required Experience
4–5 years of relevant maintenance experience
Experience in HVAC and facility systems
Independent work with minimal supervision
Customer service within healthcare environments
Nice-to-Have Experience
Painting, plumbing, or electrical background
Mechanically inclined
Experience working across multiple healthcare locations
Required Skills
HVAC knowledge
Strong customer service and communication skills
Patience and reliability
Valid Driver's License
Physical stamina to lift 50+ lbs, climb, stoop, and walk throughout shifts
CMMS familiarity
Basic Microsoft Office proficiency
Preferred Skills
EPA Certification
Experience supervising maintenance staff or leading teams
Additional Skills
Universal CFC certification (or ability to obtain)
Experience navigating complex building systems independently
