As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrol Detail in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will play a key role in monitoring and patrolling designated areas while carrying a firearm. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents and foster a secure environment for all. You will engage with the public, provide outstanding customer service, and communicate clearly with team members. Pay Rate : $27.01 / Hour

Job Schedule : DayTime Thur 04 : 30 AM - 01 : 45 PM Fri 04 : 30 AM - 01 : 45 PM Sat 04 : 30 AM - 01 : 45 PM Sun 04 : 30 AM - 01 : 45 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and / or emergency response activities as directed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the assigned government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor for unusual activity and report findings according to established protocols.
  • Interact with the public and staff in a respectful and professional manner, providing assistance as needed.
  • Support emergency response efforts in accordance with location procedures and Allied Universal training.
  • Complete incident reports and daily activity logs as required by site protocols.
  • Follow all regulations regarding the carrying and use of firearms as part of assigned duties.
  • What We're Looking For :

  • Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available
  • Minimum Requirements :

  • Have at least three years of combined law enforcement, military, and / or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Possess a valid armed guard card or license as required by local or state regulations.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
