Position Summary The Operations Manager is responsible for managing and directing the overall operations of the Waverly Branch and its supporting territory. This role develops, coordinates, and implements strategies that align with company goals designed to maintain and increase existing business, improve operational and safety efficiencies, and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage the annual budget for the Waverly branch; establish measurable goals and provide direction to branch staff to meet branch budgets and objectives.
  • Accountable for the P&L performance of the Waverly branch.
  • Manage branch team to meet company standards for quotations, quotation follow-up, and customer service.
  • Oversee customer workflow, quotation processes, and order fulfillment to ensure timely and accurate delivery that meets or exceeds expectations.
  • Collaborate and communicate professionally with all Northwest Electric branches and departments.
  • Ensure the highest quality service and repair by promoting and following company QA procedures; identify, evaluate, and correct quality control issues.
  • Promptly investigate and resolve legitimate customer complaints in accordance with company policies.
  • Oversee inventory management to maintain sufficient stock levels that meet customer and company needs.
  • Collaborate with the territory Sales Representative and VP of Sales to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and training to direct reports through Growth & Development Plans and Biannual Conversations .
  • Identify training requirements and recommend appropriate classes, seminars, or internal training.
  • Oversee care, maintenance, and calibration of all company equipment, vehicles, facilities, and grounds.
  • Research and present cost justifications for branch capital expenditures; submit recommendations to the President for approval.
  • Ensure compliance with all company memos, policies, and procedures; communicate applicable information to branch personnel.
  • Assist staff in understanding and administering company rules, including sales and credit policies.
  • Ensure all company safety programs are properly implemented and followed.
  • Attend seminars, expos, and training to continually develop leadership and technical knowledge.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of company services, products, and applications to identify customer needs and opportunities.
  • Coordinate with the HR Manager regarding recruitment, interviewing, hiring, and termination of employees within the Waverly branch.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Required Qualifications

    Education / Experience :

  • High school diploma required.
  • 2-year degree or equivalent management experience preferred.
  • Supervisory experience in a mechanical or industrial work environment is strongly preferred .
