Job Details

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Permanent Copy of Electrician to join our dynamic team in the Manufacturing industry. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment within our manufacturing facility. You will also be expected to troubleshoot issues, ensure safety procedures are adhered to, and provide on-the-spot solutions to electrical malfunctions. This is a full-time, permanent position requiring a minimum of 5 years of experience as an Electrician.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems.

Perform regular tests and inspections on the facility's electrical systems to ensure functionality and safety.

Read and interpret electrical and electronic schematics, blueprints, and diagrams.

Inspect transformers and circuit breakers and other electrical components.

Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.

Repair and replace equipment, electrical wiring, or fixtures.

Adhere to all quality and safety codes.

Provide guidance and training to junior electricians and apprentices.

Carry out preventive maintenance programs to avoid unnecessary breakdowns.

Work closely with other team members and departments, including engineers and production staff.

Qualifications

Proven experience as an electrician with a minimum of 5 years in the field, preferably in a manufacturing setting.

Demonstrable ability to use electrical and hand tools, electrical drawings, and blueprints.

Thorough knowledge of safety procedures, legal regulations, and guidelines.

Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability.

Exceptional listening and communication skills.

Ability to accurately determine the cause of electrical problems and the best course of action to take.

Excellent physical condition and flexibility to work long shifts and overnight.

Diploma in relevant vocational training or successfully completed apprenticeship as an electrician.

Valid license to practice the profession.

Proficient in English – both written and verbal.
