Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

\n

• Work in 14-22 bed pediatric intensive care unit
\n• Patient ratios of 4:1 for medical/surgical patients
\n• Day shift staffed with charge nurse and 4-6 nurses; night shift staffed with charge nurse and 4-6 nurses
\n• Work 4 weekend days every 4 weeks with no on-call requirements
\n• Required certifications: BLS and PALS
\n• ACLS certification preferred
\n• Use Meditech EMR system
\n• Handle typical procedures including cleft palate repair, appendectomy, chest tube management, and lumbar punctures
\n• Manage seizure patients and provide noninvasive cardiology care
\n• Support neuro, orthopedic, general surgery, and thoracic cases including thoracotomy/thoracoscopy and pectus bar implants
\n• May float to NICU level 1 or 2 units only
\n• Dress code requires royal blue scrubs
\n• Work in supportive and collaborative full team environment

The unit handles a diverse range of pediatric cases including surgical, neurological, orthopedic, and thoracic procedures while maintaining high standards of patient care and safety.
