Position Purpose
The Vice President Information Technology (IT) is responsible for providing leadership and strategic direction for information technology to ensure the Company meets its business objectives. The role is responsible for the organization's technology vision and is accountable for directing the information and data integrity of the enterprise, and strategically leads, develops and motivates a high-performance team focused on technology solutions that effectively serve diverse client groups and satisfy business objectives.
Functional Responsibility
- Oversees, directs, and manages activities and the leadership team's performance in areas of responsibility
- Drives and models company culture and holds self, peers, and direct reports accountable for demonstrating a constructive company culture through influential, personal behavior and actions
- Communicates the company's vision and mission; develops and implements the strategies that guide the direction of the business in areas of responsibility
- Identifies, analyzes, and drives the competitive landscape, opportunities for expansion, customers, markets, new industry developments, best practices, standards, etc.; maintains awareness of regulatory changes to ensure compliance and continually improve operations
- Owns and oversees the development of the rolled-up budget, and conducts financial planning and analysis to ensure budget and other financial goals are in line with business strategy
- Directs the optimization of resources and results; collaborates with cross-functional leaders to position and integrate business functions and remove obstacles to accomplish key objectives and high impact initiatives
- Drives strategic alignment, guides leadership team, and works cross-functionally in the development of staffing plans; attracts, motivates, and retains a workforce with the appropriate knowledge, skills, and abilities to achieve the company's goals and objectives
- Promotes and ensures a safe and healthy work environment for all employees
- Aligns leaders on change initiatives, leads the way, and prepares the company for success in a continually changing environment
- Fosters a work environment that encourages creative thinking, promotes flexibility, and drives innovation
- Ensures that employee issues, concerns, and complaints are handled in accordance with company policies and applicable legal advice for clear, consistent messaging and resolution
- Ensures compliance and consistent application of company policies, initiatives, and decisions
- Inspires, guides, and develops direct reports; identifies and mentors successor; fully engages in the GPS (Performance Management) process; provides high-quality feedback, and ensures proper GPS documentation of employee performance, recognition, and deficiencies
Essential Duties
Provide thought-leadership and lead the execution of the comprehensive information technology strategy and platforms which support the Company's strategic goals and business needsEstablish and manage a high performing team that ensures continuous systems and user support and who effectively deliver technology, process innovation, and business improvementPartner with management on initiatives to improve business operations through strong product development, data integrity, technical innovation and process efficienciesAnticipate and react to major technological changes, and effectively communicate opportunities and business case justification to the Executive Committee to ensure Company leadership in the competitive landscapeEstablish and lead IT governance to improve, maintain and enforce technical and IT process standards, IT policies and IT operating procedures to ensure information security, compliance, cost efficiency, protection of assets and the continuous support and availability of systemsPromote organizational change management and systems thinking to optimize business value through delivery of technical advancementsAnalyze a Company's current technology infrastructure and align it with the business' strategic plansEnsure that the Company's IT operations adhere to Federal, State and local lawsEnsure the Company's cybersecurity practices protect the business' digital assets while maintaining the necessary capabilities to support ongoing businessWork closely with functional leaders and C-level executives to create strategic plans and deliver cross-functional priorities supporting the business' future growthControl and manage IT spend across the enterprise through strategic vendor relationships and effective use of external resourcesOther duties may be assignedNon-Essential Duties
Supervise and manage the performance of the Information Technology team, including coaching and feedback, development and mentoring of the team and management of job performanceProvide a high and broad level of thought process to drive improvement; recommend areas for improvement and lead projects to enhance the functionExhibit flexibility and willingness to take on new responsibilities and assignments as they are identified and to assist with various ad hoc projects as neededBuild strong relationships with other functional leaders to recommend and implement solutions to company issuesOther duties may be assignedMinimum Requirements
Education and Experience
At least 15 years in Information Technology with senior leadership experience such as a senior IT Director, Vice President IT, or CIO for a large ERP platform enterprise in the consumer products industry, beverage industry preferred.BS in Computer Science or Business required, MBA preferredKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong skills in ERP, Manufacturing and Distribution environment including SAP and Windows network operating systems, client / server, and programming and database technologiesDemonstrates innovative competencies, insightful and optimistic about change, takes calculated risksAccomplished leader and manager of people with the ability to attract, develop, and retain a strong teamExtensive experience dealing cross-functionally with multiple divisions across the organizationPossesses the unique combination of strategic thinking coupled with a hands-on / can-do attitudePossesses demonstrated strength of character and ability to excel in a challenging and changing environment during periods of rapid growth.Ability to travel to all locations and split time between the Napa and Manteca officeHas the highest level of integrity and superior interpersonal communication, presentation, and organizational skillsWork Standards

California Pay Transparency Disclaimer : This is a Exempt position. The pay range for this position is $204,000.00 to $306,000.00. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. Actual placement within range will be contingent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, education, experience, internal equity and alignment with market data.
