SUMMARY
The Niemanns Chef works with the Deli Manager to produce diverse menus that appeal to the customer. The Chef's duties include but are not limited to providing excellent customer service, cooking recipes, gaining product knowledge and working in a safe manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Delivers superior guest service and ensure absolute customer satisfaction
- Organizes the kitchen to ensure optimal service level and product quality
- Produces high quality dishes
- Ensures all state, local and federal health department regulations are followed
- Ensures equipment safety conditions
- Assists in the development and maintenance of recipes, product specification, ingredients, production standards and portion size
- Understands food costs and impact on the bottom line. (Minimizing waste!)
- Promotes and supports established programs
- Offers a creative flair to create new products and programs
- Maintains the highest level of food safety, sanitation and cleanliness.
- Creates new formulas and recipes
- Maintains good records
- Demonstrates excellent technique in preparing food
- Excels working in a high stress environment
- Works within company programs, policies and procedures
- Follows all store and department policies and procedures
- Follows all Health Code guidelines
