TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Telemetry RN in Chandler, Arizona, 85224!

$2,070 per week

About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Profession : Nursing

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 12 Hour Nights

Hours per Shift : 36 hours per week

Experience : Minimum 2 years of recent experience (within the past 6 months)

License : Valid nursing license required

Certifications : BLS, ACLS, NIHSS - AHA or APEX

Must-Have :

  • Strong cardiac telemetry background, preferably 2 years
  • Ability to decrease cardiac drips per physician's orders and parameters
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting telemetry strips

Description :

This position requires tele skills.

Travelers will need to pass a dysrhythmia exam within 48 hours of receiving the offer.

There will be a PASS / FAIL Sim Lab on the first day of orientation.

Study guides will be provided with first-day instructions.

Nurses will be caring for patients within the emergency department who are waiting for placement on a unit.

Common diagnoses include patients who are on medical-surgical / telemetry holds.

Nurses must be able to titrate drips such as Cardizem, Heparin, and Amiodarone.

Charge nurses will oversee the ED.

Patient care technicians will be available on the unit.

This role may require floating to medical-surgical or overflow units as needed.

No ventilators will be assigned in this position, and the nurses must manage CPAP and BiPAP as required.

There will be no monitor tech present; therefore, nurses are expected to read strips.

Shifts are 12 hours long from 7 am to 7 pm or from 7 pm to 7 am.

There is an expectation to work four weekend shifts in a four-week schedule.

Staff will rotate in on two of four major holidays.

Nurses may be asked to assist with emergency department patients by taking vitals, starting IVs, and administering medications.

Nurses will not be the primary RN for emergency department patient assignments.

The hospital may cancel up to four shifts during the 13-week assignment.

Charting will be done through a specific system.

This position is set in an acute care division.

The nurse will be required to adhere to department-specific orientation and training.
