Responsibilities
Junior Electrical Engineer with 0-4 years of experience in electrical power design, management and / or distribution or other related systems to support wind tunnel test facility refurbishment.
- TYPICAL FUNCTIONS
- Adhere to all applicable Company, Customer and Industry safety standards and practices.
- Familiarity with NFPA and IEEE standards as applied to electrical systems desired.
- Interact with Integrated Project Team (IPT) mechanical and electrical leads.
- Interact with technicians in providing technical support.
- Develop electrical systems ranging from Substation secondary 4160 voltages to 120-volt distribution.
- Support design narratives, system drawings, technical studies, and reports as required.
- Use planning, analytical and product design software tools such as AutoCAD Electrical, MS Project, MS Excel and MS Word.
- Provide electrical design inputs in support of project schedules.
- Assist in the development of new electrical distribution and process systems.
- Create and deliver concise technical summary reports to the team.
- Prepare and present design reviews for internal and external customers.
- Apply best design practices that drive process improvements.
- Support the quality of the project deliverables.
- Complete assigned projects on time and on budget.
Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or Electrical Engineering Technology (BSEET) Degree from an ABET accredited college or university, or equivalentShould be a naturally analytical person and capable of working in both a team and solo environment.Fluent in a variety of programs and software relevant to industrial electrical design desired.Comfortable with troubleshooting, debugging and instructing others in this skill set.Essential Functions Of The Position
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSExcellent communication (verbal and written) and phone skills. Ability to hear normal conversation. One eye (minimum) correctable to 20 / 20.
