Psychiatric Mental Health Physician Assistant

About Us : Good Shepherd Community Clinic (GSCC) is a patient-centered healthcare provider that aims to improve access to mental health services in our community. We are seeking a highly motivated Psychiatric Physician Assistant (PA) to join our behavioral health team and contribute to providing comprehensive psychiatric care to our diverse patient population.

Job Overview : The Psychiatric PA will work closely with our mental health team to provide psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and treatments, including medication management. You will play a critical role in delivering quality mental health services, ensuring patient care is comprehensive, compassionate, and in line with the highest standards. This is an in-person position based at our clinic in Ardmore, Oklahoma.

Responsibilities :

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments, including medical history and mental health evaluations.
• Diagnose mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders and prescribe appropriate medications or treatments.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, social workers, and other mental health professionals to deliver coordinated patient care.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, labs, and imaging when necessary.
• Maintain thorough and accurate patient records through the clinic's EHR system.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with clinic policies and regulations.
• Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions and available treatment options.
• Assist in the development of treatment protocols and contribute to team case conferences and meetings.
