Cisco Wireless Engineer

Seeking a skilled Cisco Wireless Engineer to review, redesign, and implement wireless solutions. Extensive experience with Cisco technologies required. High-level engineering role within the Engineering and Service Delivery section. Covers network architecture and Tier 4 troubleshooting. Strong technical background in wireless networking required.

• Required Skills :
• Cisco Wireless Technologies : Deep understanding of WLCs, APs, RF management, mobility, security.
• Wireless Protocols : Proficiency in IEEE 802.11 standards, Wi-Fi certifications.
• Network Design and Implementation : Design, plan, and implement complex wireless networks.
• Troubleshooting and Optimization : Diagnose and resolve wireless network issues, optimize performance.
• Security : Knowledge of WPA / WPA2(3) encryption, guest access.
• Automation and Orchestration : Familiarity with Cisco DNA Center.
• Documentation : Create and maintain network documentation.
• Technical Skills and Certifications :
• Cisco Certifications : CCNP Wireless or higher preferred.
• Wireless Certifications : CWNP certifications advantageous.
• Network Protocols : TCP / IP, DNS, DHCP, RADIUS.
• Operating Systems : Proficiency in Windows, macOS, Linux.
• Network Management Tools : Experience with Cisco Prime Infrastructure, Wireshark.
• Specific Job Responsibilities :
• RF Planning : Conduct RF surveys, optimize AP placement.
• Mobility Management : Implement and troubleshoot mobility features.
• Vendor Management : Coordinate with vendors for hardware procurement and support.
• Security Compliance : Ensure adherence to industry standards and regulations.
