We are growing our Collections Department and seeking a Legal Collections Specialist who shares our commitment to integrity, accuracy, and excellent client service.Role OverviewThis position supports the firms collections process for condominium and HOA clients. You will manage files from intake to resolution; verifying balances, preparing notices, tracking payment plans, and keeping matters organized and moving forward. This is a detail-driven role for someone who takes ownership of their work, communicates professionally, and enjoys creating order within a growing, values-based firm.ResponsibilitiesManage collections files from intake through completion, including demand letters, lien preparation, complaint drafting, and payment plan monitoring.Review ledgers and supporting documentation to confirm balances and prepare notices. Prepare and verify balance breakdowns and payoff calculations to support trust accounting and client reporting.Maintain accurate records within practice management softwareCommunicate clearly and respectfully with property managers, board members, unit owners, and team membersTrack deadlines, payments, and follow-ups to ensure timely ordinate with firm leadership, accounting, and vendors for mailings and service.Generate and maintain client status reports.Identify opportunities to improve systems and workflow efficiency.Qualifications2+ years of experience in a law firm, accounting / bookkeping, or property management environment (collections experience preferred).Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.Strong written and verbal communication abilities.Must be fully bilingual (English & Spanish)Ability to manage multiple priorities calmly and independently.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft OfficeExperience with a practice management software preferred.Familiarity with Florida Statutes Chapters 718 & 720 a plus.What Were Looking ForProfessional integrity and respect for everyone you interact with.Accountability - you follow through and take ownership of your results.A calm, solutions-oriented mindset under llaborative spirit and appreciation for teamwork.Desire to keep learning and improving our systems and pensation & GrowthSalary : $55,000$70,000 annually, commensurate with experience.Bonuses : Performance-based bonuses available after six months.Benefits : Health Insurance, FSA, 401(k) Schedule : Full-time, MondayFriday (with hybrid flexibility once established in the role.)Growth Path : Opportunity to advance to Senior Specialist or Department Lead as the department scales.Why Join The Neighborhood Law GroupYoull be part of a professional, collaborative, and purpose-driven team where integrity, respect, and accountability guide every decision.
