Human Resources Generalist
Location : Carteret, NJ
Reports To : HR Manager
Position Summary
The HR Generalist will provide comprehensive human resources support to both corporate and warehouse teams across the organization. This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional who can manage multiple priorities, ensure data accuracy, and deliver exceptional service to employees and leaders. The ideal candidate will bring strong Excel and systems skills, bilingual communication ability (Spanish / English), and a solid foundation in HR operations and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and compliant HR files, records, and documentation in alignment with company policy and legal requirements.
- Respond promptly and professionally to employee and applicant inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits.
- Partner with hiring managers to post openings, screen applicants, and coordinate interviews and onboarding activities.
- Lead new hire onboarding to ensure seamless integration and positive employee experience.
- Support employee engagement initiatives that reinforce company culture and values, including open enrollment, appreciation events, and holiday celebrations.
- Collaborate with Payroll to process employee changes and resolve issues using ADP Workforce Now .
- Maintain HR data integrity and generate analytical reports in Excel and ADP , including metrics such as turnover, attendance, and other key HR indicators.
- Partner with management to track attendance, manage corrective actions, and process employee status changes.
- Assist with internal audits, documentation requests, and compliance-related reporting.
- Lead and support HR projects and process improvement efforts — including handbook updates, system implementations, and policy reviews — aimed at increasing efficiency, improving documentation, and enhancing the overall employee experience
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bilingual (Spanish / English) – required.Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all aspects of work.Advanced Excel skills, including formulas, data analysis, and reporting.Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities.Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a service-oriented mindset.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).Experience with ADP Workforce Now preferred.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while managing multiple priorities.Experience in a warehouse, logistics, or distribution setting preferred.Education & Experience
Associate’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.3–5 years of professional HR experience required, ideally in a multi-location or operationally diverse environment. Ability to handle confidential information with the highest level of professionalism and discretion.
