Mavis Tires & Brakes at Discount Prices is seeking full-time Automotive Mechanics to join Team Mavis at one of our state-of-the-art service centers in the Riverhead, NY area. Mavis is one of the largest tire sales and automotive repair chains in the United States.

Responsibilities

Inspect, diagnose, and perform a wide variety of automotive services on customers\' vehicles.
Perform undercar repairs including brakes, struts, and shocks.
Complete state-mandated inspections, change oil and filters, check fluids, replace worn parts, and dismount / mount / rotate / balance tires.

Qualifications

Required : at least 18 years of age; legally authorized to work in the United States; 2 years of experience and / or training in automotive repair and maintenance or equivalent education / experience; extensive toolbox of personal tools used in undercar repairs.

Preferred : state inspection licenses; ASE Certifications in Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair (G1), Suspension and Steering (A4), and Brakes (A5).

Physical requirements : ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, pull, reach, and perform repetitive movements; regularly lift and / or move items weighing over 50 pounds.
