Certified Medical Assistants - Allergy

4 : 30 p.m. Occasional overtime required.Work Location : East Broad Street (3 Days) and Cooper Road (2 Days)Essential Functions : Maintain general appearance, cleanliness and stock in examination rooms, procedure rooms, and instrument processing room.Clean and sterilize instruments, maintain diagnostic equipment.Instruct Patients regarding appropriate preparation for certain diagnostic tests and procedures.Performs medical assisting procedures under supervision of, or as delegated by a physician.Takes baseline vital signs and patient history.Evaluates new patient charts prepared by front desk.Answer incoming phone calls. Assist in patient call backs and calls in prescriptions under the direction of the RN / MD.Professionally greets all patients and escorts them to clinical areas.Manages EHR desktop and alerts / flags.Provides discharge instruction / education to patients.
