Summer Opportunities At Brewer-Garrett, our Interns have the opportunity to work alongside our experienced Engineers, Project Managers, and Business Developers in the innovation, design, and implementation of creative solutions for our customers. Our Summer Internships are intended to be hands-on and skill-building to provide students with an in-depth understanding of designing and engineering electrical and mechanical systems, building controls automation, construction management, and energy engineering. Energy Engineer Learning Objectives

• The Energy Engineer will work alongside Energy Engineers in our Energy Services and in collaboration with our Sales, Proposal, and Construction teams to develop and secure energy projects.
• Training and Technology : Microsoft Excel, Energy Engineering practices, Procore, BG HVAC 101
• Job Site experience : Conduct site walkthroughs and energy surveys of buildings, communicate with customers, and learn to evaluate Lighting Systems
• Team Meetings : Observe and participate in Energy Services and Project meetings
• Utility Bills : Develop the ability to read utility bills and prepare a Utility Data Analysis
• Energy Solutions : Learn to develop Solutions with State of the Art, complete write-ups and prepare spreadsheets of Solutions
• Sales : Participate in collaborations with the Sales team to develop final projects and attend presentations to customers
• Energy Saving Calculations : Learn to develop Savings Calculations, conduct Audits, and refine Energy Calculations
• Cross-Functional Learning - Learn about Project Management and our other Engineering roles through shadowing members of each team
