Free health insurance for MHA full-time employeesOverview MHA in Ulster seeks a full-time (35 hours per week) Wellness Activities Coordinator to join our Wellness Services Program. The Coordinator is responsible for providing trauma informed, non-clinical assistance services to various groups of adults within the wellness services programs to achieve long-term recovery.The Coordinator works with the Director of Wellness Services to provide daily program oversight and meet department goals and objectives, both independently and as a team, while ensuring and maintaining the confidentiality of all agency program participants and department information.
The schedule for this position is Mon-Fri 9am - 4 :
- 30pm with an alternating late night on Tuesday of 12 : 30 pm-8 pm and possible alternating Saturdays.
- The Wellness Coordinator makes a pay rate of $20.83 hourly.
Responsibilities Include :
- Develop and administer recreational and socialization activities and groups. Oversee and coordinate a timely implementation of the program goals via the activity and group schedules. The activities and groups include activities such as shopping / laundry outings, hiking, movies, social club outings, restaurant outings, large trips, etc.
- Provide an opportunity for all participants to choose personal goals and to acquire the skills needed to achieve the goals.
- Additionally, offer supports needed to make the goals a reality for program participants.
- Provide transportation for scheduled activities.
- Work with the Director of Wellness Services to meet department goals and objectives, both independently and as a team, and ensure and maintain the confidentiality of all agency program participants and department information.
- Provide support and resolve problems associated with the program schedule and activities.
- Assist with and conduct program evaluations and recommend appropriate changes.
- This includes summarizing program progress via outcomes and revising programs as needed to provide the maximum benefits to the greatest number of individuals possible with current resources.
- Establish and Maintain outreach opportunities within the community.
- Other duties and Wellness Team tasks as assigned.
Required Qualifications :
- High School Diploma / GED and 3 years experience in human services OR Associate degree in a Human Services field with 1-3 years’ experience in human services OR Bachelor’s Degree in a Human Services field OR Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) OR Certification as a Certified Peer Specialist OR OASAS Certified Peer Advocate Ability to work as a team member and to handle crisis situations A clean, valid NYS driver’s license that will meet and maintain a satisfactory driving record consistent with agency and insurance standards and have been driving for at least 6 years Ability to safely perform the essential functions of the position, with or without accommodations required by federal, state, or local law Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office ~~~ MHA in Ulster is proud to offer the following benefits to our full-time employees : Paid Vacation / Sick / and Flex Days Medical / Dental / Vision / Life Insurance Retirement 403(b) Plan Profit Sharing Supplemental Benefits such as Telemedicine And More!
