Our client is looking for a Field Engineer who will bridge the gap between engineering and operations. Youll support day?to?day pilot deployments, develop operational technologies like booms, conveyors, and cleaning systems, and work closely with clients to tailor product systems to site?specific needs. Youll also contribute to testing and validation of new product iterations, providing critical feedback for product improvement.

The Opportunity
- Support product pilot operations, deployment, and retrieval systems.
- Operate and troubleshoot technical challenges with mechanical equipment like conveyors, booms, and cleaning mechanisms.
- Collect operational data and assist in testing product performance.
- Collaborate with product development engineers to feed field insights into design iterations.
- Reporting and documenting the findings from field work.
- Lead the adaptation of operational technologies (e.g., boom reel systems, deployment, maintenance cycles) to meet client?specific site conditions.
- Standardize procedures for efficient product deployment, retrieval, and cleaning.
- Assist in on?site validation of new product versions and support prototype testing.
- Coordinate with suppliers and contractors for pilot?site equipment needs.
- Own the operational playbook for product pilots and early commercial rollouts.
- Develop best practices for large?scale pond integration and client training.
- Become the go?to expert on operational technologies supporting product at global pilot sites.
What Youll Bring
35 years of hands?on engineering / field operations experience (civil, mechanical, industrial, or environmental systems preferred).Strong mechanical aptitude with conveyors, pumps, fluid systems, or similar equipment.Experience in field deployment, troubleshooting, and maintenance of hardware.Comfortable working in outdoor / remote site conditions (desert, high temperature, variable weather).Ability to translate client needs into practical engineering solutions.Proficiency with basic CAD / design tools (Onshape, AutoCAD, etc.).Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with engineers, operators, and clients.Bachelor / master's degree in civil, Mechanical, Environmental, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent field experience).(Bonus) Experience with brine ponds, mining operations, or water treatment systems.Location : Newark, NJ + frequent travel to pilot sites in North and South Americas
