About Bronson Commons :

Located in Mattawan, MI, Bronson Commons is a 100-bed facility specializing in short-term nursing care and therapy for adult patients. We are proud to have a five-star CMS rating and recognition from U.S. News & World Report as one of the "Best Nursing Homes."

Requirements :

• High school diploma or GED.
• Current Michigan CNA Registry or completion of an approved Nurse Aide Training program with certification within 4 months of hire.
• Obtain BLS Certification within 6 months of hire and maintain it.
• Experience in long-term care or geriatrics preferred.
• PCAs may be considered during a temporary exception; pursuing CNA certification is encouraged.

As of 02 / 05 / 2021 Bronson has expanded eligibility of employment at Bronson Commons to include Patient Care Assistants (PCA) based upon CMS guidance, and while the national Public Health Emergency is in effect. Bronson Commons is able to hire individuals who have not completed a state-approved CNA training program, if the individual is able to demonstrate competency in skills and techniques necessary to care for resident's needs . This is a temporary exception that will eventually be lifted by CMS. When this occurs, PCAs will no longer qualify for this role at Bronson Commons. It is highly encouraged that any PCAs hired at Bronson Commons during this temporary exception period pursue CNA certification. Bronson will support and guide PCAs through the process.
