As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting regular patrols and maintaining a visible presence throughout the assigned area. Your role will include monitoring access points, interacting with visitors and staff, and responding to incidents as needed. What You'll Do : Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support the location. Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and / or incidents. Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential security-related concerns within the location. Monitor for suspicious activity and report security-related incidents according to established protocols. Work collaboratively with local law enforcement and / or emergency services during incidents as required. Complete daily activity reports and incident documentation as directed by Allied Universal policies and client requirements. Adhere to all site-specific guidelines regarding the use of firearms and other security-related equipment. Minimum Requirements : Possess an armed guard card or license. Access control or badge experience is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
