We provide secure, high-quality language access in more than 80 spoken and signed languages for USCIS and other federal agencies.
We are seeking Tajiki (Tajik Persian) Over-the-Phone Interpreters (OPI) to support our USCIS contract. Tajiki, a variety of Persian spoken in Tajikistan and Central Asia, is a rare but critical language often needed in asylum and immigration cases.
Responsibilities
Provide real-time Tajiki English telephonic interpretation for USCIS officers, applicants, and stakeholders.Interpret with accuracy, impartiality, and professionalism in immigration, asylum, and legal contexts.Maintain confidentiality in line with USCIS / DHS interpreter standards.Handle both scheduled assignments and urgent / surge interpretation needs.Participate in training, compliance refreshers, and quality assurance audits.Qualifications
Native or near-native fluency in Tajiki (Tajik Persian) and English.2+ years of professional interpreting experience (immigration, asylum, community, or government strongly preferred).Familiarity with interpreter ethics, confidentiality, and cultural awareness.Strong communication skills; ability to remain accurate under pressure.Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident eligible for Tier 3 / Tier 5 security clearance.Compensation & Benefits
