Position Summary:

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading and performing day-to-day maintenance activities to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all facility equipment and systems. This role combines leadership duties with hands-on technical work. The supervisor plans, organizes, and directs maintenance tasks while actively participating in troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance. They prioritize work orders, guide the maintenance team, ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, and coordinate with production to minimize downtime. As a working manager, this position models technical expertise, drives continuous improvement, and helps develop team members through training, coaching, and consistent leadership.

Shift:

Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm but hours could vary

Essential Job Duties:

Leadership & Supervision

• Supervise, coach, and develop maintenance technicians, providing training and guidance as needed.
• Schedule and assign daily work orders, ensuring adequate coverage across all shifts.
• Conduct performance reviews and support employee growth, accountability, and engagement.

Maintenance Operations

• Perform repair, troubleshooting, and maintenance on manufacturing equipment, electrical systems, HVAC, robotics/automation (if applicable), and facility infrastructure.
• Execute and maintain preventive maintenance (PM) programs to reduce equipment failures and downtime.
• Prioritize and complete urgent work orders while balancing long-term maintenance needs.
• Maintain spare parts inventory and ensure the availability of critical components.
• May be required to complete other tasks assigned by management.
  

Safety & Compliance

• Enforce plant safety policies and promote a safe working environment for all employees.
• Ensure maintenance activities comply with OSHA regulations, NFPA standards, and company policies.
• Participate in incident investigations and implement corrective actions when needed.
  

Continuous Improvement

• Collaborate with production leadership to identify equipment issues affecting productivity.
• Recommend and implement improvements to machinery, workflow, and maintenance processes.
• Support installation and startup of new equipment.
  

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals.
• Excellent communication, time management, and decision making- skills.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand / walk for extended periods.
• Ability to work in hot, cold, or noisy industrial environments.
• Occasional work at heights or in confined spaces.
