Team Lead, Financial Resource Coordinator
Position Summary
The Team Leader, Financial Resource Coordinator leads the daily activities of financial navigation. Duties include but are not limited to ensuring timely and efficient precertification, benefit investigation, reviewing resources and assistance options for assigned groups of patients, and all follow up and collections are completed. In order to maximize cash flow, this position works directly with the Manager and Supervisor to maintain compliance with contractual agreements and federal / state regulations; in addition to, prioritizing open communication regarding the oversight of navigation staff. The Team Leader will assure processes and daily work are efficiently followed and completed, as well as appropriate patient account data obtained to maintain departmental goals.
Education
High School Diploma - Preferred
Experience
3-4 Years Healthcare Revenue Cycle - Required
Requirement is a minimum of 3-4 years experience in hospital patient accounts. Have knowledge of all aspects of the departmental process from registration to billing.
License & Certification

Core Job Functions
Resolves technical and personal issues timely. Promotes cooperation and team work according to SJ / C standards. Monitors co-workers activity to ensure production standards are met daily.
Promptly reviews outstanding auth requests and pending patients to be scheduled. Produces required, related reports and documents accounts properly.
Manages the flow of day-to-day operations, and distribute reports. Identifies greatest needs in workflow. Assigns out accounts needing immediate attention and assists in completing tasks / duties.
Assists working accounts and reports along with team when work volume is increased or to fill in for staff that is out of office.
