Responsible for the design, build, testing, installation and support of software applications required for the deployment of the Epic electronic medical record (EMR) system

Responsibilities

Is a major participant in activities involving workflow analysis (current and future) that support both design and build. The analyst acts as a liaison between end users, third parties and Epic implementation staff. Has the aptitude to quickly learn how other applications work and apply this understanding throughout the implementation and during maintenance.

Will be actively involved in communicating with end users to modify and maintain proper user security, reports, and other functionality necessary to maximize the efficiency of workflows.

Qualifications

Associate degree in Nursing / Allied Health / Information Systems field preferred or equivalent experience. Licensure and / or clinical certification required, if applicable to the degree. EMR application certification required and expected within 6 weeks of completion of EMR application training. Requires the ability to independently interact with customers and demonstrate critical thinking and follow through when developing solutions to identified issues. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required.NC Driver's License required as local travel between various FirstHealth locations may be required; with the exception of 100% fully remote workers.

Epic certification in assigned applications within 6 weeks of completion of final Epic course required.
