Labor Attorney

Overview

Armstrong Teasdale LLP is seeking an experienced Labor Attorney to join its St. Louis or Chicago office. The ideal candidate will have experience with a broad range of labor matters related to representing and counseling employers and will have experience with collective bargaining negotiation, union elections, strikes, picketing, campaigns, unfair labor practice cases before the NLRB, and other conflicts between management and labor unions.

Labor Attorneys have an exciting opportunity to learn from and work closely with energetic, highly experienced legal practitioners in a friendly, cooperative environment.

Responsibilities

• Simultaneously handles the high-level and strategic aspects of multiple legal matters at different stages of progression, from inception to conclusion
• Possesses strong attention to detail and good interpersonal skills for communicating with attorneys and clients
• Demonstrates an ability to work independently and productively and show a strong interest in advancing a career in litigation
• Produces quality legal work and bills the required amounts of hours to ensure excellent client services
• Manages business and assists in the generation of business through group and individual efforts
• Complies with the very highest ethical standards of the legal profession
• Decision Making – actively makes decisions on client matters with consultation of other attorneys
• Communication - strong, professional communication, both written and orally to both internal and external clients
• Continuous Learning - actively embraces learning new skills, areas of the law, mastering new technology and sharing with others
• Teamwork – cooperatively works as a member of client teams and begins to lead teams in matters
