Job description

Work Schedule is Tues 9am - 6 pm in Templeton, Friday 9am - 2 pm in Templeton then 5 pm - 9 pm in Santa Maria, Saturdays 8am - 4 pm in Santa Maria.

Wage Range that the Company Expects to Pay :

  • Medical Assistant I : $22.50 - $24.81 per hour
  • Medical Assistant II (Certified or Registered) : $24.00 - $26.46 per hour
  • Medical Assistant for San Luis Obispo or Cambria : $25.00 - $27.56 per hour
  • Job Summary :

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will assist healthcare professionals in providing quality patient care and perform administrative and clinical tasks in a medical office setting.

  • Qualifications :
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant program or relevant certification
  • Previous experience in a medical office setting is preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in basic medical terminology and computer skills
  • Responsibilities :
  • Greet and prepare patients for examinations and procedures
  • Assist healthcare providers with patient assessments, examinations, and treatment
  • Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, and handling insurance forms
  • Prepare and administer medications as directed by healthcare providers
  • Ensure the cleanliness, sanitation, and maintenance of examination rooms and equipment
  • Additional Requirements :
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work
  • Willingness to adhere to confidentiality and ethical standards
  • Ability to demonstrate empathy and compassion towards patients
  • Maintain current knowledge of medical assisting practices and regulations
