About The Position

Must-Have :

Strong labor and delivery experience.

Recent LDRP or postpartum experience.

Experience with newborn stabilization.

Comfortable managing laboring patients autonomously.

Description :

Responsible for providing care to laboring and postpartum patients.

Must care for both mother and baby in the immediate postpartum period.

Work in a unit with a total of 6 beds dedicated to labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum care.

Follow established protocols for hypertensive crisis and hemorrhage.

Stabilize high-risk and critical patients until transfer.

Required to have knowledge in titrating drips, including magnesium and pitocin.

Available support from a core nurse acting as charge RN and on-call supervisor.

Collaborate with in-house OB staff and pediatric physician during the day.

Anesthesia is available on call after hours.

Self-scheduling is utilized with weekend and holiday shifts equitably distributed among staff.

Floating to assist in ensuring patient safety may be required.

Requirement to wear surgical scrubs during delivery.

Team approach encouraged with a focus on quality patient care and safety measures.
