Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)

Location : Forsyth Pediatrics Summerfield

Work Schedule :

MondayFriday : 8 : 00 AM 5 : 00 PM

Weekend Rotation : Every 10th weekend + Saturday : 10 : 00 AM 4 : 00 PM + Sunday : 10 : 00 AM 4 : 00 PM

Travel between other clinics is required as needed to support staffing and operational needs.

Preferred Experience / Qualifications :

Demonstrated experience with injections and medication administration

Pediatric experience strongly preferred, including :

• Peds blood draws
• Heel sticks
• Pediatric vaccines
• Knowledge of immunization schedules and records
• Prior experience in a clinic setting is strongly preferred

What You'll Do :

Rooming patients and obtaining vitals

Performing labs and assisting with specimen collection

Administering injections and medications

Managing medication inventory and ordering supplies

Administering vaccines and documenting immunizations

What We're Looking For :

Education : High School Diploma or GED, required.

Certified Medical Assistant requirements : Graduate of Certified Medical Assistant program. Certifications allowed through American Association of Medical Assistants. Registered Medical Assistant requirements : Registry allowed through Association of Medical Technologists.

Experience : Previous work in a medical setting, preferred

Licensure / Certification : Current certification as CMA or RMA, required.

Additional Skills Required : Ability to successfully complete generic and department specific skills validation and competency testing.
