A fast-growing manufacturing company in Carlsbad is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join their collaborative finance team. Support the month-end and year-end close process through journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are accurately coded and compliant with internal controls.

Assist with inventory tracking, cost accounting, and manufacturing-related financial analysis.

Collaborate cross-functionally with operations and production teams to ensure accounting accuracy for materials, COGS, and work orders.

Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and supporting documentation.

Participate in internal audits and process improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (required).

2+ years of experience in general accounting or a similar role.

Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting procedures.

Prior experience in a manufacturing or production-based company is required.

Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, lookups, formulas) and familiarity with accounting ERP systems.

Excellent attention to detail, communication skills, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
