Role Description

Part‑Time Workshop Artist (On‑Site)

Location : Paint Cohoes Gallery and Studio, 144 Remsen St Cohoes, NY

Seeking a energetic Artist to lead fun, creative workshops and classes at Paint Cohoes. The instructor will plan lessons, set up and break down the space, teach and engage participants, and ensure a positive, safe studio experience.

Key Responsibilities – Design and lead hands‑on workshops and group classes (materials, lesson plans, timing).

• Set up classroom / station materials and equipment before each session; break down and clean up after.
• Provide clear instruction, demonstrations, and one‑on‑one guidance to participants of varying skill levels.
• Foster an inclusive, encouraging atmosphere and manage class flow and safety.
• Source, prepare, and track workshop materials and supplies as needed.
• Promote upcoming classes during events and assist with basic registration / check‑in when required.
• Maintain an organized workspace and follow gallery standards for tools and materials.

Qualifications – Strong teaching and communication skills; comfortable instructing groups.
