We are hiring an Account Manager on behalf of a well-established electronics manufacturing company based in Mankato, MN. This organization specializes in delivering high-quality, custom electronic solutions to a diverse client base. This is a strategic role—not just order-taking. You'll be the voice of the customer internally and a trusted advisor externally, helping to drive business growth and operational excellence.
Job Description
As an Account Manager, you will :
- Manage and grow revenue across assigned customer accounts.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring satisfaction and long-term partnership.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to align on customer expectations and deliverables.
- Lead the quoting process, ensuring proposals are accurate, timely, and profitable.
- Monitor and maintain customer profitability and margin targets.
- Process customer requests including purchase orders, quote requests, engineering changes, returns, and corrective actions.
- Organize and host customer visits to manufacturing sites.
- Develop and maintain account plans, including sales forecasting and trend analysis.
- Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with strategic accounts.
- Support sales efforts by identifying leads and sharing insights with the sales team.
- Travel occasionally for customer meetings and site visits.
Qualifications
Required :
5+ years of experience in account management, program management, or customer service (preferably in a manufacturing or technical environment).Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-first mindset.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Strong problem-solving and negotiation abilities.Ability to work independently and collaboratively.Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods.Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking).Preferred :
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.Experience working with electronic manufacturing services (EMS) or similar industries.Familiarity with customer profitability analysis and account planning.Benefits
