Job Overview

As a Greeter/Busser at Nifty Fifty’s, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, welcoming them with a smile and a warm greeting. You will assist with managing the overall guest flow of the restaurant, ensuring a smooth and pleasant dining experience. Your role also includes overseeing the cleanliness and appearance of our restaurant to deliver the true Nifty Fifty’s experience. By providing outstanding customer service, you will make our valued customers feel like part of our Nifty’s family.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Greet and say Goodbye to all customers as they arrive and depart the restaurant
• Communicate with servers/cashiers to assure efficient seating, table utilization, and customer service
• Accommodate any special needs to guests (highchairs, boosters, disabilities, etc.)
• Manage the wait line while the restaurant is full
• Provide assistance to servers and takeout staff as needed
• Maintain a clean and organized area (menus, crayons, sailor caps, etc.)
• Clear plates, baskets, silverware, and glassware from tables throughout the guests dining experience and after guests leave.
• Clean and maintain all areas of the restaurant (including but not limited to tables, floors, grounds, bathrooms, vestibules, etc.)
• Take items to the dish room and sort in the appropriate areas for washing.
• Empty trash & bus pans throughout shift
• Sweep or mop floors throughout shift
• Assist servers and kitchen staff as needed
• Complete daily and weekly cleaning projects
• Other additional tasks management may need assistance with

Qualifications & Requirements

• Reading, writing, and verbal communication skills required.
• Ability to stand for long periods of times.
• Carry objects up to 30 pounds.
• Ability to wipe down tabletops, booths, pick up debris off the floor, sweep floor in all areas of the restaurant.
