Equipment Yard Attendant, Rental

This position is responsible for receiving, inspecting, and cleaning equipment for the Cat Rental Store. This role also requires organization and storage of equipment and attachments in a neat and orderly manner.

Essential functions include inspecting machines and all attachments upon customer return for damage, completing operational inspections of all returned rental machines, assisting in coordination of shipping and receiving parts and equipment to other stores, maintaining consistent daily communication with the Rental Coordinator, engaging with customers, maintaining yard cleanliness and organization, steam cleaning equipment and attachments on request, adhering to all customer care standards, actively caring for and advocating safety, and performing other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities required include knowledge and use of Microsoft computer products or other comparable systems, knowledge and use of light construction equipment, ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with others, and ability to work overtime with minimum notice required.

Education and experience required include proof of a high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED), an Associates Degree or certificate from an accredited vocational school preferred, previous industry experience preferred, proven customer service skills, excellent driving record and valid drivers license required with the ability to pass CDL requirements, and must be able to communicate in English.

Physical characteristics required include ability to stand for long periods of time, walking, sitting, repetitively climbing stairs, reaching, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, leaning, twisting, generating force, lifting, carrying, ascending / descending stairs, and assembling / disassembling nuts and bolts.

This role is designated as safety-sensitive.
