Responsibilities & Requirements
Essential Functions :
- Perform diagnostic PET procedures using positron emitting radionuclides and operating sensitive radiation detection equipment such as PET or PET / CT scanners.
- Conduct PET or hybrid PET / CT scanning procedures in the Positron Emission Tomography section.
- Demonstrate knowledge of nuclear medicine, PET, basic healthcare leadership, and organizational policies and procedures.
- Manage and supervise daily operations, as well as the technology used in nuclear medicine and PET.
- Ensure regulatory compliance with relevant authorities such as RAM, IAC, and ACHC.
- Provide technical mentorship to staff, aligning with hospital Key Result Areas, managing busy schedules, and offering support.
Job Requirements :
Minimum Education : An Associates Degree is required, while a Bachelors Degree is preferred.Minimum Work Experience : At least prior years of experience in nuclear medicine / PET is required.Hold a valid registration or certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist through the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT(N)) or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).Must have an Ohio license to practice as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.Successfully pass the NMTCB-PET exam and maintain certification in PET specialty, renewing every 7 years as per NMTCB Specialty Board requirements.Apply now!
