• Position Summary :

Roth Trucking, Inc. is seeking a skilled and dependable

• Shop Mechanic
• to perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on company vehicles and equipment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with diesel engines, heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and related systems. This position is essential to keeping our fleet safe, compliant, and operational.
• Key Responsibilities :
• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on trucks, trailers, and related equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using diagnostic tools and manuals.
• Complete brake jobs, engine repairs, transmission servicing, tire replacements, and other mechanical tasks.
• Maintain accurate service records and complete repair orders using UpKeep or other maintenance platforms.
• Ensure all work is done in compliance with DOT regulations, OSHA safety standards, and company policies.
• Communicate with the Shop Supervisor regarding needed repairs, parts, and work timelines.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Assist in emergency repairs or on-call duties as needed.
• Participate in ongoing training and certification programs.
• Qualifications :
• High school diploma or GED required; trade school or technical certification preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a heavy-duty truck or diesel repair environment.
• Familiarity with diagnostic tools and repair procedures for diesel engines, brakes, suspension, and electrical systems.
• Valid driver's license required; CDL is a plus.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and perform physically demanding work in various weather conditions.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety and quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
