Overview
We are working with a Los Angeles based probate, estates, and trusts litigation firm, undertaking a national expansion, that has shifted its previous goals for a Los Angeles Managing Partner to open the door to substantially greater base compensation for the successful candidate than it had previously offered. The firm is quite interested in acquiring a probate, estates, and trusts litigation practice or practice group and is looking for a book of business in the neighborhood of $1,000,000. Our client is seeking an experienced probate, estates, and trusts litigation attorney to be the Managing Partner for its Los Angeles office in Brentwood. Westlake and Pasadena are also acceptable office locations; and the firm may be open to others. The candidate hired will have significant first chair trial experience and extensive experience successfully handling a team of probate, estates, and trusts litigation attorneys, as the lead attorney in a Big Law practice, national mid-sized firm practice, or successful, boutique probate, estates, and trusts litigation shop. Graduates from top-tier law schools are preferred for this role. Compelling writing and communication skills are, of course, essential. The firm seeks applicants with healthy books of business, e.g., circa $1,000,000. It is quite interested in acquiring a probate, estates, and trusts litigation practice or practice group Compensation is open well beyond the $250,000 originally posted for this position with a competitive bonus based upon office profits for the right person. Bonuses can be very high--$100,000 is not out of the picture. The firm is open to negotiation and creative dialogue about the overall compensation plan.
