Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details : \n

  • Work 12-hour night shifts from 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 00 AM

    • \n

  • Guaranteed 72 or 96 hours bi-weekly

    • \n

  • Holidays and every other weekend required

    • \n

  • Block scheduling approved as long as it accommodates every other weekend requirement

    • \n

  • Voluntary call requirements

    • \n

  • 13-week assignment duration

    • \n

  • Maximum 1 week RTO allowed

    • \n

  • Must be greater than 50 miles from facility - local candidates not accepted

    • \n

  • Required certifications : BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS

    • \n

  • Minimum 2 years of experience required

    • \n

  • Floating to other units is required

    • \n

  • 24-bed unit with 5 : 1 to 6 : 1 patient ratio

    • \n

  • Navy scrubs required

    • \n

  • EMR system : Cerner

    • \n

  • Care for higher Med-Surg acuity patients with diagnoses including stroke, seizures, post-op neuro / spinal surgeries, level 2 trauma patients, level 1 trauma post-ICU care, DKA, renal failure, and general post-op care

    • \n

  • Required skills include expertise in neuro assessments, critical thinking skills, drain management, post-surgical care, chest tube management, and groin site management post-IR

    • \n

  • Must attach required license and certifications or submission will be rejected
