Tech Mental Health PRN

POSITION SUMMARY / RESPONSIBILITIES Assists psychiatry services and nursing staff with patient preparation and treatment procedures for both acute and non-acute illnesses or injuries. Performs routine patient care as required in a psychiatric environment. Assists in maintaining the therapeutic milieu by utilizing appropriate communication skills. Performs clerical duties associated with patient care management. EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE A high school diploma, its equivalent, or a higher degree is required. One year of equivalent experience is required. Three years of experience in a psychiatric setting is preferred. Phlebotomy experience and notary public preferred. Must have a current American Heart Association Basic Cardiac Life Support and Healthcare Provider card.
