Hands-On Leadership Role Overseeing Multiple IT Teams in a Hybrid Cloud Environment
TicketNetwork, Inc., is a high-tech leader in the ticketing industry. Founded in 2002, TicketNetwork hosts a leading online exchange with over $5.5 billion in ticket inventory. We power a vast network of websites that enable buyers and sellers to exchange tickets to thousands of events.
We are seeking a strategic and hands on results-driven VP IT Infrastructure to lead our design, implementation, and management of our enterprise IT infrastructure, Security and Help Desk. This management role will oversee multiple IT teams including Infrastructure, Network, Operations, Security, Database, and Help Desk teams.
The successful candidate will oversee both on-premise private cloud systems and cloud platforms, ensuring high availability, security, elasticity, and scalability across all environments. Lead our journey as start a major modernization and migration journey to AWS Cloud and overall cloud first approach. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in traditional data center operations while driving innovation through hybrid and cloud-native solutions. Key Responsibilities :
- Lead and mentor teams of infrastructure, network, operations, security engineers, as well as database administrators, and help desk technicians, fostering a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement.
- Lead and manage architecture, deployment, and lifecycle management of on-premise infrastructure, including physical and virtual servers, storage arrays, networking equipment, and backup systems.
- Oversee data center operations and hardware lifecycle management.
- Manage team responsible for hybrid environments by integrating on-premise systems (VMWare) with cloud platforms (Azure and AWS).
- Drive cloud adoption and hybrid architecture strategies (Azure, AWS), ensuring scalability, security, and cost-effectiveness.
- Direct infrastructure modernization efforts, including virtualization, hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI), and software-defined networking (SDN).
- Ensure robust disaster recovery, high availability, and business continuity strategies across all infrastructure layers.
- Monitor emerging technologies and assess their potential impact on the business.
- Lead IT Security to implement and maintain secure infrastructure practices, that are PCI compliant.
- Lead Database Administration team providing high performance and availability data environment with on-premises servers (SQL), cloud data warehouse / lakehouse, cloud databases, and event services.
- Lead and mature help desk team that supports remote, and hybrid workforce including contact center.
- Collaborate with DevOps and cross-functional teams to identify and implement technology solutions.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to identify technology opportunities that drive innovation andoperational efficiency.
- Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service-level agreements (SLAs) for both on-prem and cloud services.
- Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and capacity planning for infrastructure and cloud services.
- Establish KPIs and performance metrics to ensure service excellence and continuous improvement.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree; Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.12+ years of progressive experience in IT, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role managing IT teams.Excellent leadership, communication, organization, and project management skills.Demonstrated leadership ability in building and managing high-performing teams across multiple IT disciplines.Strategic analytical thinker with a hands-on approach and technical proficiencyResults oriented leadershipAbility to manage multiple priorities in a highly dynamic fast paced environment.Experience developing and managing budgets, KPIs, and vendor relationshipsCommitment to continuous improvement, coaching, and professional developmentDeep expertise in enterprise infrastructure, cloud platforms, cybersecurity, and IT operations.Demonstrated success in leading large, cross-functional IT teams and complex technology programs.Proven experience managing enterprise on-premise environments, including data centers, networking (e.g. Palo Alto, A10, Cisco), virtualization platforms (e.g. VMware), hyperscalers (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP).Strong experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and hybrid cloud architectures.Familiarity with enterprise storage (SAN / NAS), backup solutions, and disaster recovery planning.Familiarity with monitoring and observability platforms (e.g., SolarWinds, DataDog, ELK).Familiarity with DevOps, CI / CD processes and tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, AWS Code pipeline).Preferred Skills :
Certifications such as ITIL, PMP, VMware, AWS / Azure Architect, or Cisco are highly desirable.Knowledge of compliance frameworks (e.g. PCI-DSS).Familiarity with ITIL, DevOps, automation, and agile methodologies.Familiarity with Database Technologies (SQL, RDS, Postgress, Databricks, Snowflake, NoSQL)Experience with automation and orchestration tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Ansible, Terraform, PowerShell).Just a few of the perks we offer :
