Job description

Job Summary :

The QA Lead is responsible for ensuring that software meets quality standards requirements and is defect-free. This involves designing executing and maintaining test cases integrating testing into CI / CD pipelines and collaborating with development teams to prevent defects throughout the software development lifecycle.

Location : Linthicum Heights Maryland United States

Responsibilities :

  • Develop test strategies plans and test cases (functional integration regression performance).
  • Execute manual and automated tests track defects and ensure resolution.
  • Automate test cases using test automation frameworks and tools.
  • Integrate testing into CI / CD pipelines.
  • Collaborate with developers business analysts and operations to refine requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Perform cross-browser cross-platform usability and accessibility testing.
  • Monitor quality metrics and recommend improvements.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback from a QA perspective.
  • Document test results maintain test artifacts and audit test coverage.
  • Use defect tracking tools and manage the bug lifecycle.
  • Ensure compliance with security accessibility and regulatory standards.

Required Skills & Certifications :

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 10 years of experience in software testing / QA.
  • Experience with test automation tools and frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) agile / scrum methodologies.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with version control and CI / CD.
  • Experience with test case management and defect tracking tools.
  • Preferred Skills & Certifications :

  • Experience in government / regulated systems (e.g. compliance accessibility).
  • Performance or load testing experience.
  • Security / penetration testing knowledge.
  • Experience in REST API / integration testing.
  • Experience with service virtualization / mocking tools.
