Registered Nurse (Developmental Disabilities) | Creative Community Services, Inc.

Salary Range : $70,000–$72,000

Position Overview

The Registered Nurse (RN) reports to the Program Director and Clinical Supervisor and plays a key role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of individuals with developmental disabilities served by Creative Community Services, Inc. This full-time position requires travel within an hour of our Norcross office and the ability to work flexible hours as needed.

The RN will provide clinical oversight, health care planning, medication training, and consultative support to staff, individuals, and families, while serving as a positive role model aligned with the mission and values of CCS.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Medical Oversight & Clinical Support

• Maintain a consistent caseload with regular home visits to individuals in Host Home and CA settings.
• Ensure all medications are properly examined for accuracy, storage, and expiration.
• Demonstrate sound clinical judgment and strong decision-making regarding the safety and care of individuals.
• Provide direct training and consultation on medication administration and disposal, health care planning, and recognizing signs of illness.
• Understand the use and management of psychotropic medications.
• Educate staff, including Community Assistants (CAs), Host Home Providers (HHPs), and Family Consultants (FCs), on medical best practices and individual care needs.
• Serve as a resource for the Critical Response Team (CRT) in navigating complex or urgent medical situations.
