Job Summary
The Financial Analyst is responsible for ensuring inventoryaccuracy and all costs associated with sourcing, production, and delivery ofproducts to the end customer. This role supports daily, weekly, and monthlyfinancial operations and serves as the subject matter expert on inventory andcost of goods sold (COGS). You will play a key role in actuals, budgeting, andforecasting processes.
Job Responsibilities
Work with manufacturing & 3PL locations toensure effective inventory controls and accurate reporting
Ensure accuracy of perpetual inventory records tothe general ledger.
Create and analyze product line profitability andreview with cross functional business leaders.
Create and analyze the company's freight andwarehousing cost.
Assist with the annual budgeting and quarterlyforecasting processes.
Support operations and procurement teams withspecial projects, including new product analysis and profitability assessments.
Analyze actual variances versus budget and prioryear performance.
Review monthly COGS and related liabilitiesentries.
Identify and report obsolete inventory, includingsetting up reserves, directing disposition, and preparing monthly obsolescencereports.
Establish and maintain standard costs and managethe company's item master.
Prepare journal entries and perform accountreconciliations as needed.
Coordinate and participate in quarterly andyear-end physical inventories.
Assist with annual and quarterly audits.
Qualifications
Education : Bachelor's degree in accounting orfinance. CPA is preferred.
Experience : 3+ years inventory / cost accountingexperience in manufacturing or consumer products company. Experience with NetSuiteis preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Strong analytical skills.
