Qualifications :
Board-certified Nurse Practitioner with unrestricted licenseLicensed to practice in TexasMaintains current BLS, ACLS, and other relevant certification(s) and awareness of related accreditation and certification requirementsTwo plus years of relevant experience preferredAuthorized to work in the U.S.Practice in the Heart of the Community
Scheduling :
Monday through Friday- day shift - 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.Part-time position - 2-3 shifts per weekKey Responsibilities :
Perform medical examinations using standard medical procedures under the direction of a physicianObserves, assesses, and records symptoms, reactions, and progress in patient chartsDemonstrates knowledge of pulmonary and critical care principles and practice protocolsDemonstrates the ability to remain calm and effective in emergency situations and establish a leadership role in an emergencyCoordinate with physicians, extenders, nurses, and other staff to improve patient care and outcomesDemonstrates knowledge of current and emerging trends in technologies, techniques, issues, and approaches in pulmonary scienceDemonstrates working knowledge of medications, with their indications, contraindications, dosing, side effects and correct administrationEducates patients and / or families as to the nature of the disease, provides instruction on proper care, self-management, and treatment, and works with patients to develop an individualized care planLiving and working in Plano :
