About the Role

We're looking for a Senior IMS Mainframe Systems Programmer to support and enhance enterprise-level IMS environments. This is a senior technical role for a professional who excels in IMS V15.5+, SMP / E installation, and system configuration across large-scale mainframe infrastructures.

You'll be the primary technical contact for key clients - ensuring seamless transitions, optimized performance, and long-term stability of mission-critical database systems.

What You'll Do

Configure, maintain, and upgrade IMS environments (V15.5 or later).

Perform SMP / E and non-SMP / E installations for IBM and ISV products.

Administer IMS components including PSB, ACB, SYSGEN, and subsystem configurations.

Utilize tools like CA Database Tools, Sysview, Omegamon, and Mainview.

Collaborate across teams managing z / OS, CICS, Storage, and Disaster Recovery.

Act as a SME for client transitions and modernization projects.

Ensure system performance, reliability, and compliance with enterprise standards.

What You Bring

12+ years of experience as an IMS Mainframe Systems Programmer.

Proven expertise with IMS V15.5+ installation and upgrade processes.

Strong skills in SMP / E, PSBGEN, SYSGEN, and database object management.

Familiarity with mainframe operations : z / OS, CICS, Storage, and DR.

Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
