Layout Designer

Location : Oshkosh, WI

Pay : $34-37 / hour

Contract position with the opportunity for it to be extended or transition to a direct role.

Overview

As a Layout Designer, you'll support engineering teams by preparing and updating drawing layouts using computer-aided drafting (CAD) software. You will be instrumental in creating both new and revised component designs and Bills of Materials (BOM), ensuring alignment with organizational standards-especially for projects supporting Defense or Government initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Update and revise existing drawings based on engineering markups and guidance
• Re-master CAD drawings to current formats and standards
• Create detailed 2D and 3D layouts under the direction of senior design team members
• Perform self-checks to maintain accuracy, dimensioning, tolerances, and proper organization in all work
• Ensure adherence to CAD specifications and company standards
• Utilize ERP systems to generate part numbers and input data according to standardized conventions
• Collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams
• Perform additional related tasks as assigned
