Complex Care, Advanced Skills In the MICU, youll care for some of the most critically ill patients in the region. Our diverse and high-acuity population includes individuals experiencing : Neurological emergencies : Stroke, Seizures, Guillain-Barr (GB), TNK, Thrombectomies Cardiac crises : Myocardial Infarction (MI), CHF, IABP, Impella, Cardiac Arrest, ECMO Pulmonary challenges : COPD, ILD, PNA, COVID ICU Severe infections : Sepsis, Septic Emboli Metabolic and toxicologic emergencies : DKA, Overdose (OD), Liver Failure, Renal Failure Gastrointestinal bleeding : GIB Advanced therapies : CRRT, CDT End-of-life (EOL) care : Compassionate, patient-centered support for patients and families This environment demands sharp clinical judgment, rapid decision-making, and a deep commitment to continuous learning. Experience : Greater than one year of experience, ICU experienced preferred. Candidates with 2 years or more of ICU experience will be considered first. On-call : Not required. Requirements : Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the State of Vermont required. ADN required, BSN preferred. Appropriate experience in specific clinical area. Varies by unit.
