We are currently looking for a Senior Contracts Analyst to join the Legal Team at our Houston, TX office.
POSITION DESCRIPTION :
The Senior Contracts Analyst is an essential member of Boardwalk’s Legal Department, working with attorneys and internal clients on a wide variety of legal matters in a fast-paced environment. In addition to working well in a team environment, ideal candidates must show initiative and be proactive in their day-to-day duties.
JOB DUTIES :
Review and draft contracts (e.g., confidentiality agreements, service agreements, scope of work agreements, and purchase orders)
Collaborate with attorneys on legal review; incorporate client specifications; ensure compliance with applicable company policies, laws, rules, and regulations
Communicate and negotiate contract terms with contractors and suppliers
Oversee and facilitate contract execution; and deliver final documents to appropriate parties
Provide document support and organizational assistance on special projects with senior leadership
Provide ancillary assistance with purchase and sales agreements and coordination of same
Provide training on legal procedures, best practices, and company policies
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE :
Minimum of 7 years’ experience working with contracts; managing the entire contract lifecycle
Experience in the construction, engineering, or pipeline industries is strongly preferred
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Excellent writing skills
Highly effective interpersonal / communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Strong understanding of confidentiality principles and business relationships
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint)
