Salary : $125,000+, commensurate with experience

Location : Northern Fairfield County, Hybrid (2 days remote)

Key Responsibilities of the Controller :

Direct all financial operations including general accounting, grants, retail, and payroll.

Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including payroll and tax filings.

Oversee internal controls, audits, and integration of accounting systems with HRIS and POS.

Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making.

Oversee a team of 4 individuals, serving as a mentor and resource.

Qualifications for the Controller Role :

Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA or Master's preferred.

5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in nonprofit or mission-driven organizations.

Proficiency in MIP accounting software, Excel, and Word.

Strong leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills.
